If you’re looking for a day of adventure, you can find it at Reimers Ranch Park. Activities include rock climbing, hiking, biking, fishing, and swimming. With 2,427 acres of land, you will never run out of something to try. You can even bring your pet along for the exciting day, as long as they are on a leash. If you are looking to slow it down from all of the high-intensity activities, the park also offers monthly bird walks from October to April.
Hamilton Pool Preserve
Truly a beautiful sight, the Hamilton Pool Preserve is a part of nature that you won’t want to miss in Dripping Springs. Swimming is allowed in the pool dependent on the bacteria levels and the recent rainfall, so be sure to look into whether swimming is allowed on the day of your visit.
If swimming isn’t possible or you aren’t interested in it, you can still hike around the pool or take pictures of the beautiful grotto. Additionally, a tour of the pool is available on Saturdays, October through April. Always call ahead to see if you need to make a reservation for the day, as this popular attraction fills up fast!
Solstice Gardens is the destination for all of your yard art and sculpture needs. While at Solstice Gardens, you can speak with the team about how to make your landscape a work of art. You can even see if you would like them to design your landscape for you!
By walking through the art gallery, you can support local Texas artists while finding the piece that can make your home truly stand out. Make sure you check the Solstice Gardens website for when you can go to meet the artist events, where you can enjoy refreshments and speak with the individuals behind the beautiful pieces on display.
If you still want to enjoy the outdoors but are looking for a more relaxing time, swing by the Solaro Estate, which has won multiple awards, including the 2018 Rodeo Uncorked! International Wine Competition and the 2014 Texas Winery of the Year. You can take a tour of the vineyard or the winery and cap off the tour with a wine tasting. On the tour, you can learn more about Solaro’s wines, such as how the wine is made by sustainable farming.
After spending an adventurous day in the Dripping Springs outdoors, you’ll be sure to want to stay in a hotel nearby. Since you won’t be able to get to all of these attractions in one day, a hotel stay can give you the ability to enjoy a few fun-filled days in town.
