There are certain attractions and places you can visit throughout the year while some events are a must do if you are travelling in summers or winters. The locals are very friendly and love to take tourists around and show them the city. They are quite proud of the city. Here’s a list of things that you should do and places to visit on your trip to Toronto.

Niagara Falls

This is one attraction that you just cannot miss. It is also believed that the Canada side of the falls has a much better view than the US side. Go there and decide on your own. You can drive down from the city to the falls and enjoy the view from the Table Rock site. Travellers can look for a car for rental in Toronto area and drive on their own, or rent a cab to go there. Niagara Falls are best enjoyed when you head right into the falls themselves – through the Journey Behind the Falls, which is a lift descending through solid rock so that you stand right next to the curtain of water.

CN Tower

You just cannot miss CN Tower on your visit to Toronto. The structure, once the highest tower in the world stands upright at 1800 feet and dominates the city skyline. You can ascend to the highest vantage point at 1400 feet and enjoy the view of the city from the top. There is also an option of taking an ‘Edgewalk’ which is a hands-free walk around the sky pods on the outer ledge. Take a deep breath before you do this though.

St. Lawrence Market

Whether it’s for souvenirs to take back home or to buy daily produce, you can visit St. Lawrence market for just about anything. The traders in the market sell anything from small jewellery trinkets to organic produce to fresh bread. On the weekends, a farmer’s market takes a major spot in the market which is straight from heaven.

Casa Loma

Toronto has its castle too! The Casa Loma is an 18th century Gothic Revival Castle and comes with a fair warning – it may drive that wish to live the lavish lifestyle. The castle stands out from the city’s architecture and includes marble floors and beautiful masterpieces of décor.
